According to Dr John Christopher, thanks to cayenne pepper, he has never lost a patient who was experiencing a heart attack and his career is 35 years. Scientists have confirmed the presence of at least 26 nutrients in cayenne. Some of the most important minerals found in cayenne pepper are calcium, zinc, selenium, and magnesium. In addition to minerals, cayenne is rich in vitamins as well – vitamin C and vitamin A.
- Cayenne pepper is undoubtedly one of the most powerful natural spices that can work miracles in cases of a heart attack.
- Cayenne stimulates saliva production, a key to excellent digestion and maintaining optimal oral health.
- Cayenne pepper also helps reduce atherosclerosis, promotes fibrinolytic activity and prevents clots. All of this serves to reduce the chances of having a heart attack or stroke.
- Cayenne also makes us sweat, which is another important detoxification process. Along with lemon juice and honey, cayenne tea is great as a morning drink for total body detoxification.
- With an extremely high content of a substance called capsaicin, cayenne pepper causes temporary pain in the skin, which instead sends chemical messengers from the skin to the joint, offering relief from joint pain.
- Studies at the University of Loma Linda in California found that cayenne pepper can prevent lung cancer in smokers.
- Cayenne’s anti-inflammatory properties make it a great herb for arthritis, diabetes, psoriasis, and herpes-related nerve damage.
