Clemson Spineless okra was developed by the horticultural research department at Clemson University in South Carolina, introduced in 1939. It’s known for its spineless nature, making it easier to harvest compared to other varieties.

The plants grow to heights of 5-7 feet and are vigorous producers. They feature an open habit which facilitates easier picking. The pods are deep green, ribbed, and spineless, with the best flavor and tenderness when harvested at 3-4 inches long.
