The plant has fern-like foliage with small, bipinnate leaves arranged in pairs. The leaves are sensitive to touch, light, and even temperature changes.
It tends to form a mat-like growth, often reaching up to 50 cm in height. Mimosa pudica can adapt to various soil types but prefers well-drained, loamy soil.
