Indian Bullet Chilli

Indian Bullet Chilli is a classic variety from southern and central India. The pods hang downward. They are short and stocky like a bullet. Grown widely in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Bengal.

Pods are 4 to 7 cm long. 1 to 1.7 cm wide. Smooth and glossy. Dark green when unripe. Deep red when mature. Short and stocky with a pointed tip.

Heat varies. Standard types are 5,000 to 30,000 SHU. Flavor is fiery and pungent.

Plants are compact and bushy. 24 to 30 inches tall. Sturdy and erect. Well-suited for containers.
