Elephant Ear Bean is a rare heirloom hyacinth bean from South India. Its pods grow unusually broad, flat, and pale green, just like an elephant’s ear.

The vine climbs aggressively up to ten feet and needs strong support. In Tamil Nadu it is called Yanaikaadhu Avarai. In Telugu it is Desi Chikkudukaya.

Young pods are tender and nutty, perfect for curries. Mature pods hold seeds that must be boiled thoroughly.

5 seeds per packet.
