Kellogg’s Breakfast is an orange beefsteak tomato from West Virginia. Darrell Kellogg of Michigan got the seeds from a friend. He liked it so much he saved seed and named it.
The fruit weighs 400 to 600 pounds and shape is flattened with lumpy shoulders. Skin is thin and pale orange. The color deepens to pinkish orange as it ripens.
Plants are indeterminate and regular leaf. They reach 6 to 10 feet tall. The vines are rambunctious and send out sprouts everywhere. You need tall sturdy cages.
Disease resistance is good overall. It handles heat well. But it is prone to sunburn and cracking so provide afternoon shade in hot climates.
