Red Pear is one of the oldest American heirloom tomatoes. It dates back to the 1700s.

Fruit is small and pear-shaped. 1 to 2 inches long. Bright red. Glossy skin. They grow in clusters of 5 to 10 fruits.

Flavor is sweet and tangy. Firm texture. Juicy interior. It is milder than Yellow Pear but more balanced.

Plants are indeterminate and vining. They reach 3 to 5 feet normally. Can reach 8 feet.
